main picturebS. D. (Spencer David) Davieson has been a writer of fiction since he was a child. From short stories to short films, Spencer has indulged in creating fantastical worlds for readers of all ages to visit. As a child he spent many weekends with his grandmother exploring Oystermouth Castle, Mumbles whilst she worked in the ticket office. In 2003 he joined a performing arts school to study the classics and modern playwrights. It was here he really began to fine tune his plot and character development skills, into what they are today. He was struck by the idea for The Embers of Enchantment during a return visit to his family home, whilst he was sitting on Mumbles Hill. A moment of musing about how great Mumbles Hill would be to teach a dragon to fly, began a cascade of ideas which evolved into the magical book series. The four main characters "popped into my head very quickly", and soon the entire story became mapped out. The Embers of Enchantment: Destinies Entwined was completed in 2015 and is now being released in 4 parts while he begins writing book 2.

Editorial Reviews "This is a promising start to what is likely to be one rollercoaster of an adventure! If you like Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Lord of The Rings, Eragon or any fantastical adventure book it's highly likely you'll enjoy this debut by S. D. Davieson. The main characters have been well thought out and instantly loveable. The only criticism I have is that this part leaves you with one mighty cliff hanger, however the authors writing ability puts away any doubt that the follow-up will be anything but great! 5-stars! 1. :

As one of the lucky first few to read this book I can honestly say that it is amazing! Although I'm more of a sci-fi reader I found this such an easy read, with some very funny and imaginative moments in it. I'm hooked and am counting down the days for the release of part 2! #ibelieveindragons
  2. :

The Embers of Enchantment is a beautifully written, fantasy adventure about a teenage boy, his soul-bound dragon, Heulwen (Welsh for 'sunshine') and the friends he meets while teaching Heulwen to fly. Expect more than a few laugh out loud parts, touching moments and suspense. Very easy to read and is ideal for little (and big) children. This is part 1 of 4, and I honestly can't wait to read more.
  3. :

This is the kind of book you read to your kids (to teach them patience) because (a) cliffhanger and (b) It’s in parts! So you need to wait till the next part before you finally delve in the story. This part is mainly just introducing the characters and this new world with dragons. A big war has just ended and now there’s peace but there is something darkness that has awoken that nobody knows about yet. Basically we know nothing about the war yet, just that many people died. What was it about? Who was fighting? No idea. The further chapters introduce 4 characters. Dylan , a teenager boy who wants to teach his dragon to fly. I loved the adorable Heuwlen, who ever thought that dragons could be CUTE! Seren, a girl who wants to control her magic, Emyr son of a Lord, who has a kind heart and dream of getting a dragon of his own and Lizzie Ann, the helpful witch. And the rest is just conversations and routine of these four characters. Pirates that are also there, along with secrets about Emery’s mother. I didn’t find that there was much to the story but that’s mainly because it’s so short. The foundation for a good fantasy world has been built but I can’t be sure of anything till I read Part 2. However, IMPRINTED COVER that I just love to touch and it came with a beautiful bookmark and what can I say I’m a cover slut. I just love to see the book on my shelf. Wait wait, did I mention it was illustrated? Yep, beautiful illustrations done by David Platt
